Join our Wilton Youth Field Hockey Volunteer Coaching Staff for grades K-6:
The heart of Wilton Youth Field Hockey is the parent volunteers who give their time, energy and enthusiasm to enrich the youth player experience. If you would like to be a part of this rewarding experience, we'd love to hear from you! WYFH is dedicated to providing our coaches with training and support throughout the season. Led by the Wilton Youth Field Hockey Head Coach and Player Development Director, we will hold coaches clinics as well as provide detailed coaching plans to assist you.
Grades K-2- Clinic-based program where coaches work together as a group to teach the fundamentals of the game. Groups play 1x during the week on Saturdays or Sundays. Schedules to be determined closer to the season
Grades 3 & 4 - Clinic-based program where coaches work together as a group to teach the fundamentals of the game. Groups play 1x during the week and 1x on Saturdays. Schedules to be determined closer to the season.
Grades 5 & 6 - Help coach a team while growing youth player skills and experience through competitive play. Teams practice together twice during the week and play either an intramural game or travel game over the weekend. WYFH is part of the Fairfield County Field Hockey League.

Join a Wilton Youth Field Hockey Committee:
Create budget and assess cash flows in order to balance program priorities. Review all requested expenditures. Oversee with the WYFH board, the stewardship of the money received by WYFH ensuring that WYFH complies with its responsibility as a non-profit entity in the state of Connecticut. Create reports and charts to show where registration dollars and donated funds are used.
Programming – planning and logistics for player development opportunities including but not limited to winter clinics, spring clinics, pre-season camp and dissemination of off-season information and support to players interested in programs such as FCU, Futures etc.
Competitive Play – includes 7/8, 5/6, and 4G coordinators with focus on FCFHA coordination, game scheduling and professional and high school ref bookings. Additional focus on special events – multi-town jamborees, Play for Pink and new offerings.
Coaching - recruitment and recommendation of 7/8 travel coaches, recruit volunteer coaches, coach development, training and certification programs
Uniforms & Equipment
Responsible for the research, sourcing and purchase recommendations of uniforms, league equipment and first aid items; maintaining inventory; managing required refreshing and replacement; storage
